Day 4…. First thing I noticed this morning was my tongue! As someone who has digestive issues my tongue usually has a white film that I scrap off every morning. Every time Ive gone to a holistic healer it gets mentioned. When I first started detoxing this would get worse during the detox. Today I noticed that now while I am detoxing that, I didn’t even need to scrape my tongue. (I still did though) Also when I did my ionic foot detox bath, it came out very light. All these are signs that I am on the right path to better health and well being. This makes the past year where I haven’t had any gluten or dairy worth any struggles. If you are struggling with your detox, please keep in mind that I have been on this healing path since 2006. The first few tries are always the hardest, and I still have ups and downs.
Here are some other symptoms of detox:
- Skin breakouts
- Bloating, stomach pains
- Food cravings
- Trouble sleeping, nightmares
- Diarrhea and constipation
- Fatigue, drowsiness, low energy levels
- Congestion or Mucus that feels like a cold

Elizabeth’s Energy Soup
- 1 big handful of mixed greens
- 1 cups of spring water
- 1 apple
- 1 avocado
- 1 cucumber or zucchini
- 1/2 cup of your favorite sprouts
- 1 teaspoon dulse flakes
- 1 teaspoon of sea clear or organic miso
- 2 cloves of garlic
(optional) Reserve half of the avocado and apple for a topping. Or you can top with some sprouts. If you like things spicy, I like to top mine with cayenne pepper.
Blend all ingredients (except what you set aside as a topping) in a blender until smooth. Put on optional topping and Eat that day!
