We made it! Yes we made it. I couldn’t have done it without you! Me sharing my expirence with others is something that gives me strength. May you find the strength you need to complete your detox. It may be a friend to do it with, or replying to my posts everyday. And remember this is my detox, may you use your inner voice to find what works for you. One thing I will say is that lately because detox is the latest buzz word, there are many detoxes out there that are simply healthy eating. That is not a detox, it’s a diet! Yes if you go from a standard american diet to eating a healthy whole food diet it will start a slow detoxification as you stop taking in those toxins. But that is the way you should be eating everyday! So if you need to start there before you try an actual detox, than go for it. I’ll be here waiting for you 🙂
Now for the recipes in the video! The first thing i Recommend eating after a fat is fruit. After that a salad is a good choice as you add fats back into your body. But my favorite thing to eat after a detox is my coconut chocolate pudding. Hey, I went 10 days without chocolate!
- Baby Greens
- Raw Sauerkraut
- Shredded Carrots
- Cooked Baby Beets
- Your favorite dressing. Mine is: Organicville Olive Oil and Balsamic Vinaigrette
It’s a salad… I don’t really need instructions here do I?
Coconut Chocolate Pudding
- meat from 2 young coconuts (or 2 avocados with no brown spots)
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1/4 cup cacao powder
- pinch of salt
- splash of vanilla extract
- up to 1/4 cup of almond milk
Put all the ingredients in the blender except the almond milk. Start blending and drizzle in the almond milk as needed to keep the blender moving. You don’t want your pudding to be too thin. Serve chilled. Makes 2 servings or can be used as a really good frosting.
