Stress is an interesting thing. It effects your hormones and make it a challenge to gain weight. It can lower your immune system. However this year I learned that it can also effect your skin. It can effect and even weaken your skin barrier. For my already sensitive skin, it made it so products I was using, started having an reaction. The combination of those reactions and stress, I started seeing more signs of aging. I was so frustrated and disappointed. So I took to YouTube and looking for new products to try. After lots of research I landed on glow recipe.
I wanted a company who was cruelty free, vegan, “clean”. and environment conscious. I think I have found in glow recipe. There are more products out there like that compared to 10 years ago, which is the last time I picked out which products I wanted to use. Both for me and my clients when I do Face Lymphatic Drainage. 20 years ago when I first started taking care of my skin it was impossible to find high quality, and effective skin care and makeup that was vegan and even cruelty free.
So I started using glow recipe a month ago. I wanted to give it a good try before reviewing it. However right away I noticed results and started using them in my Facial Cupping services. I have reviewed all products I have tried below in the order I apply then during Facial Cupping.
Papaya Sorbet Enzyme Cleansing Balm
This product I originally got as a sample which i was able to use 3 times. I used it on my friend who is an esthetician and she just loved it. I found the smell lovely and it did a good job removing makeup. However I do not have a waterproof makeup so I did not test that. It has an enzyme mild exfoliation. My sensitive skin does now like over exfoliation. This is not a exfoliation when you feel it. It just feels soft afterwards. And you use so little of it. 100 ml for $32 will last me a while!
Blueberry Bounce Gentle Cleanser
I found this to be a very nice cleanser. Only 4 pumps does the trick. This meant that 30 ml for $10 lasted me the month and is only half empty! Or maybe it is half full 😉 It has AHA’s plus lots of moisturizing ingredients so it is not overly drying. They call it hydrating suds.
Watermelon Glow PHA+BHA Pore-Tight Toner
When I first got this line, of course I tried them all at once, so when I had a reaction to something I was hoping my first guess of toner was correct. I took it out of my routine and the redness in my cheeks away. But I often react to toner and we don’t need a toner. No one else I have tried it on has had a reaction. However it has some great ingredients to it that are great for black heads, white heads, and acne. So I use just a little in my T-zone. A reminded that everyone’s skin is different. What works or doesn’t work for me may be different than yours. 40 ml is $15 and it was the product I went through the fastest. My 20 ml fruit baby size was gone within the month. It has lots of hydrating ingredients plus PHA and AHA for exfoliation. Interesting ingredients like cactus water cucumber.
Watermelon Glow Ultra-Fine Mist
This was my favorite product! I didn’t even want it but it cam with the kit I ordered. So who needs a toner when I have this! This is sprayed five times during the fascial cupping. For me I spray it once at night at the end of my routine and twice in the morning. At the end of the routine and the end of makeup. I also like it throughout the day. My face gets dry from the condensation in the mask. Even after using it so much 75ml for $28 lasted the month. So worth it! It contains watermelon, AHA’s, hyaluronic acid, and rice bran oil.
Pineapple-C Bright Serum
I thought this was also nice. I do not know what the percentage of vitamin C is. I did not notice a difference in my sun spots. It has 3 sources of vitamin C including pineapple which smells nice. I used 1/4 of 30 ml bottle for $49. I used it in the morning before sunscreen. Vitamin C is shown to make sunscreen more effective. Even though I did not notice the results in my sunspots it was worth it for the moisturizers and even aloe and chamomile make the product a joy to use.
Plum Plump Hyaluronic Serum
This serum had a texture of oily, but i could tell it was not oil. It was this just intense moisture feeling. I couldn’t tell on myself if it plumped my skin. I would just say it felt very hydrating. This serum would be especially great for people who wanted more moisture from the watermelon moisturizer but didn’t like the banana cream. This serum would be excellent with a reusable silicone face mask.
Avocado Ceramide Recovery Serum

Avocado Melt Retinol Eye Sleeping Mask
My eyes are where I show almost all my aging. From wrinkles to puffiness to dark circles. How is it fair I get all three biggest issues. This has coffee berry which is a common ingredient for eye creams. It also have Encapsulated Retinol which not only helps with wrinkles but thicken the skin under the eyes which can reduce under eye circles. This is a very gentle retinol. I like to use this the Dieux Forever eye mask. This can reduce puffiness and increase the benefit of serums and eye creams. I bought the 5ml in the fruit babies mini kit and have used it up by the end of the month. 15 ml is $42
Watermelon Glow Pink Juice Moisturizer
This product seemed more like a serum than a moisturizer. I have normal to dry sensitive skin so this product was not as moisturizing as I usually buy. I need a richer cream. Although I did use it most of the month. The 15 ml fruit baby size lasted me the month. I really like it under my watermelon sleeping mask. If I did not use that sleeping mask I would need something a bit more moisturizing. 25 ml is $21 and 95 ml is $49. The glass jar it comes in is gorgeous! Some people are using it as a vase.
Banana Soufflé Moisture Cream
This was another product that my skin seemed to react to. Nothing big. A few small red dots that went away quickly. I wonder if it was the banana in it since sometimes eating a banana makes my throat itch. Not enough for me to stop eating bananas though. It is made for people with dry to normal skin. If I was not already in love with the watermelon moisturizer and sleeping mask combo I might give it more of a try. But I like to listen to my skin when it is trying to tell me something. 25 ml was $22 but I am not sure how long that would last since i stopped after a week.
Watermelon Glow Sleeping Mask
Now this was divine! Not sticky on the the face when I would go to bed. I used it every other day and still have half a 30 ml $22 jar left. I really credit this to healing my dried cracked skin that I had around my eyes and jaw. It is not only moisturizing from the watermelon and Hyaluronic acid but also has AHA for a gentle exfoliation. Since I have been layering on top of my moisturizer I started just using it on my dry areas such as the cheeks, jaw, and next to the eyes where there are crows feet starting. What I liek about the company is all products are about adding layers of exfoliation and hydration. Instead of overly concentrated products that can cause irritation. No wonder this is their best seller! You can watch a video on how it is made. They cut of real watermelon, ferment it, then blend!
Watermelon Glow Hyaluronic Clay Pore-Tight Facial
I really enjoyed their new mask. After one use i noticed a difference in the bumps in my T-zone. Along with the clay it shares some ingredients of the toner so I kept it off my cheeks where my sensitive skin reacted to the toner. Because it could have been the BHA or PHA which both products share. This ingredients are great for pores. It said slight tingling could be experienced but it was only for a minute. I plan on using this product monthly with I give myself a facial. I so wish I knew someone who could do my Facial Cupping! 60 ml is $40
Conclusion I think you should come give it a try. I could be biased because I do love watermelon and fruit. Which is why i painted my bike as a watermelon! Even if you don’t want to change your products at home, you definitely need to try it with the fascial cupping service! The fruit baby set is only $32. Or they have a few sets of 5 products for $100.
