Month of Meditation

In March I gave myself the challenge of daily meditation. My friend called it march madness. Each day I did around 30 minutes of meditation. I learned a lot about myself. First thing being my mind wanders a lot. It must be that wanderlust part of me. The other interesting part is the benefit it had to my sleep. I think this came not from the meditation I did during the day but that I was inspired to listen to a guided meditation as I slept. I made a playlist that started with a healing guided meditation then has 2 hours of delta waves. This replaced the audio books I normally fell asleep to. This further inspired me to wake up to guided meditations. I set up my alarm to use Spotify and picked some “The secret” meditations. It only plays for 5 minutes and then I have to hit play to continue listening for the other 30 minutes. Merlin doesn’t always let me finish it. There was this really beautiful peace that I experienced throughout the month. This has encouraged me keep some of of these new habits. Falling asleep and waking up to guided meditations. And although the 30 minutes meditations were a bit long I have been doing some more visualization meditations outside with my barefoot on the ground. There are some fun guided meditations you can use while walking or running. Here are my favorite guided meditations with brain sync and they are available on Spotify. I had a few of these on CD 20 years ago.
